Talking Bodies

Talking Bodies is a resource for caregivers who want to talk to their children about sex and the body but feel blocked by discomfort, uncertainty, or their own unresolved histories. Many parents who want to have these conversations are stopped by awkwardness, shame, or the fear that they don’t know enough. Rather than waiting for them to become comfortable, Talking Bodies meets caregivers exactly where they are: fully human, carrying their own legacies of body-related silence, their own questions, wounds, and desires. It treats discomfort not as a barrier needed to overcome but as a companion in the process itself, inviting caregivers to name what they’re feeling and stay in the conversation anyway. Through reflective questions that invite you to examine your own history, concrete language for real moments, and practical guidance, this illustrated guide makes the fumbling visible. The trying is the point.
