A screening of 2025–26 SPCUNY Fellow Oluwadara Ojugbele and collaborators’ The Memory: Sacred Groves, Sacred Nature (2026) will be followed by a screening of Zoey Martinson’s The Fisherman (2024).
The evening also includes a live set by DJ Pr3tty P. Bring your blankets, snacks, friends, and family, and settle in for a night of music and African cinema in the park!

This collaborative storytelling project invites communities to reflect on ideas of sacredness in the natural world. Led by artist and cultural worker Oluwadara Ojugbele, it explores our interconnected relationships within nature, informed by notions of respect, reciprocity and care.
