Ghost of Myself & You: Mothers of the Disappeared
“Ghost of Myself and You: Mothers of the Disappeared” is an intimate portrayal of love and loss due to the consequences of warfare in Iraq and Afghanistan. This performance is influenced by non-traditional Butoh performance and is the minimalized narration of lives lost on both sides of conflict that is depicted in my upcoming book of poetry Warcrimes. It symbolizes the regrets that I have come back home with after combat, as well as my belief in the responsibility to seek justice for those who have passed onward, while nursing the moral injuries of PTSD, Depression, and Bipolar Disorder.
