Fragments of Eternity

Fragments of Eternity was exhibited at Klapper Gallery in New York in April 2023. The exhibition consisted of a hanging installation of 600 found objects collected over the span of a year, a sound installation of recorded sounds from our world, ancient instruments, and the artist’s voice, and 600 poems, with each poem corresponding to one of the hanging objects.

While the visual, sonic, and text based elements of the piece coalesced into a living organism, they also spoke to one another, reflected one another, and supported one another. Walking through the space one experiences the circulation and transformation of materials, sounds, and words, and how the human story is weaved through that circulation. To look at an object, hear a sound, or read a word is to see one’s self. This installation created the space necessary for people to notice that they are not separate from, but an essential part of all that is.
