Geographer and filmmaker Nerve V. Macaspac collaborates with musician and artist David M. Cabuenas (also known as Kuya) to reflect upon “bahala na” as a site of Filipinx futurities. “Bahala na” is a Tagalog/Filipino expression that literally translates to “come what may.” Bahala Na: Filipinx Futurities is an immersive, room-sized multimedia installation featuring projections of transformative interactions between ecological elements and social and spritual worlds, and inter-generational, diasporic and familial futures.
